Confessions of a SameHat fangirl

I have a passion[obsession?] for horror/weird/grotesque/erotic content of horror manga/comics, ero-guro and muzan-e*. I'm especially partial to body horror.
For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, uh, I'm basically really into comics that scare me or gross me out, or are just generally strange. Especially Japanese comics, but also Italian and Spanish comics. I haven't looked much into American comics that might fit into the kind of genres I like. (BTW if anyone has recommendations, that would be awesome.)
*I don't get off on that stuff though, lol, just to clarify :P

SameHat helps feed this hunger I have for the strange and terrifying.

It's a blog dedicated to the kind of manga and comics that I like, as well as our most beloved manga artists and legends. And it's awesome and I love it. I've been reading it for a few years now, but only in recent years did I start actually commenting on the blog. It also led me to some other blogs I read and enjoy.

Occasionally the dudes that run SameHat collaborate with other awesome artists and create a zine called Electric Ant. I finally got around to getting both issues that are out, and I would recommend them for those who are interested. They contain interviews and articles about things of interest, and awesome art by independent artists. I just bought it a month or two ago, and although I'm not gonna write a formal review on it, take my word, it's an indie resource worth having if you're already into the strange and scary things of Japan.

By the way, if anyone has any horror-manga-related site recommendations, ESPECIALLY FORUMS, please please please let me know. I really want a forum to frequent to have a community of like-minded peoples. SameHat already kinda has that community but I don't really get to interact with them except for occasionally Ryan, the blogger behind SameHat, through comments.
So far the closest thing i can find is Asian horror movie forums, but I dunno, not quite what I'm looking for I guess. Though I really need to get more into good horror films (not just Asian, obviously, though there are some great stuff coming from there).
